CARE INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CHAPS OR CHINKS FROM CHAPS BY WOODS:
A couple things to remember:
- We recommended regular upkeep on your Chaps or Chinks leather care to keep the items in pristine condition.
- Your Chaps and Chinks are made from real leather, so there will be some imperfections.
- Unfortunately the leather is not waterproof, so please do not pack away when damp. Let them air out first.
- Each pair of Chaps of Chinks from Chaps by Woods is carefully and uniquely crafted, so no two pairs are alike. Variations between leather and suede are normal.

Top Grain chaps can be washed in the washer but usually need dye added. Black is quite successful for that process! Brush dirt off, remove conchos and follow dyeing instructions.
Ultrasuede/Sensuede: Machine washable. Use mild detergent and use full cycle. May be dried on a very cool temperature setting in dryer or lay flat indoors until almost dry and put in cool temperature room to finish drying. A towel, similar in color, in the dryer will help fluff up. Shout can be used for spot cleaning and washed out with water.
